If a state championship title existed for hospitals that put patients first,
Thibodaux Regional Health System would need the largest trophy case in
Louisiana. I’m so proud to congratulate Thibodaux Regional on achieving
the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 2018.
Thibodaux Regional’s MVP treatment of patients is nothing new. This
medical center is now an 11-time champion. More impressive than that,
Thibodaux Regional has received all 11 awards consecutively and now owns
the longest active streak in the state of Louisiana – more than
any hospital in even New Orleans or Shreveport.
In case you’re wondering about the rules and criteria of this award,
it’s not an easy honor to earn. Only the top 5% of hospitals nation-wide
provide a high enough standard of patient care to achieve this honor.
Healthgrades determines the top 5% of hospitals by conducting a multi-pronged
study that measures various categories of patient experience and satisfaction
in 4,500 hospitals nationwide.
This type of long-term success is rare. Could you imagine the same team
winning the high school state championship or the Super Bowl for 11 years
in a row? Any sports team would be lionized for 11 straight titles. It
makes me proud to be affiliated with such a champion. It also shows that
when someone is as dedicated to their craft as Thibodaux Regional is to
outstanding patient care, excellence can be achieved anywhere.
CEO Greg Stock and the team at Thibodaux Regional truly put patients first.
Their passion for helping people lead fuller, better lives is inspiring.
Congratulations Thibodaux Regional for your continued success at caring
for the people of the Bayou Region at the highest level possible and in
setting a standard the entire nation can use as an example of excellence.
