Spine Center of Excellence

The Spine Center of Excellence is made up of a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses and therapists who create a unique resource—a comprehensive, collaborative, patient-centered approach to caring for people with neck or back pain. The team focuses on each patient by individually reviewing every case to determine the best course of action.

This team approach improves outcomes by utilizing non-surgical as well as minimally invasive procedures, providing relief with quicker recovery and less post-operative pain. The team also provides an ongoing management program complete with a Nurse Navigator.

Thibodaux Regional is designated as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Spine Surgery by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. This national designation is awarded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering quality specialty care – which expanded recently to include more robust quality measures focused on improved patient health and safety, as well as new cost-efficiency measures.
