Barry G. Landry, MD, general surgeon on active medical staff at Thibodaux Regional, was the
recipient of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC)
Outstanding Performance Award.
Each year, the CoC Committee on Cancer Liaison recognizes State Chairs
who have exhibited outstanding leadership and innovation, and have made
significant contributions to improving the quality of cancer care in their
state or region. This honor is awarded based on excellence in service
on behalf of the Commission on Cancer and the Committee on Cancer Liaison.
Dr. Landry has served as Louisiana State Chair for four years.
Dr. Landry earned his doctor of medicine degree from Louisiana State University
School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of General Surgeons, and
the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
