The Sports Medicine Center of Thibodaux Regional has been busy planning
the details of this summer’s Manning Passing Academy (MPA) along
with Nicholls State University and MPA personnel. MPA events begin next
week with the Ladies’ Clinic on Wednesday, June 26. This year’s
Academy is going to be better than ever: not only are some of the biggest
names in college football from across the country coming to serve as counselors
for campers, Thibodaux Regional is proud to also help elevate the MPA
Ladies Football Clinic to the next level by hosting the Ladies Clinic
in our state-of-the-art Wellness Center.
The MPA Ladies Football Clinic will be held Wednesday, June 26 starting
at 6 pm. Speakers include Nicholls State University head football coach
Tim Rebowe, New Orleans Saints team physician Dr. Andrew Gottschalk, NFL
on Fox sideline reporter Jennifer Hale, who’s also a spokesperson
for Thibodaux Regional, and our Sports Medicine Center staff Amelia Castell
and Paige Morvant, Athletic Trainers, and Lilli Rozanski, Sports &
Fitness Dietitian. The clinic is free – just register here:
https://manningpassingacademy.com/.
The MPA Ladies Football Clinic will be organized into four quarters and
will allow girls and women to get first-hand knowledge of what football
is like behind the scenes from experts currently in the game. When you
have a better understanding of what’s happening on and off the field,
it makes watching games and cheering on your favorite team that much more fun.
Thibodaux Regional and the Manning Passing Academy are also partnering
with the non-profit Sideline Pass Foundation for this endeavor to help
financially challenged female student athletes in South Louisiana. Thibodaux
Regional spokesperson Jen Hale founded Sideline Pass. Guests will have
an opportunity to participate in a raffle benefitting the Foundation that
includes signed memorabilia from Peyton, Eli and Archie Manning …as
well as a Reagan Charleston necklace, an NFL on Fox gift bag, a Nicholls
State University gift bag and a gift certificate to Tour Cycling Studio
in the Warehouse District. Chances are only $5 each and can be purchased
in person at the Ladies Clinic or online at
www.sidelinepass.org.
“Sideline Pass is dedicated to both opening doors for young women
in South Louisiana and making sure they’re prepared to charge through
them,” Jen Hale says. “The opportunity to partner with Thibodaux
Regional and the Manning Passing Academy Ladies Clinic is fabulous! Sideline
Pass is so grateful. We’ll use the proceeds to help under-privileged
female athletes participate in organized sports. When you hear about young
ladies who are trying to run track with the toes cut out of old tennis
shoes because they’ve outgrown them and can’t afford a new
pair, it breaks your heart. Archie, the Manning Passing Academy Ladies
Football Clinic and Thibodaux Regional are going to help us change that
for under-privileged female student athletes in South Louisiana.”
